Your Kybella Treatment Plan

  • Schedule Kybella at least 4 weeks before events to allow swelling/bruising to resolve.
  • Stop blood-thinning meds/supplements (aspirin, NSAIDs, ginkgo, garlic, etc.) 3–7 days before and after; consult your doctor first.
  • No treatment with active rash or infection in the area.
  • Not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Tell us the area of concern (double chin, bra fat, abdomen, thighs, etc.).
  • Injection process takes under 10 minutes.
  • Cold packs are used after—swelling is expected during healing.
  • Swelling is expected; peak lasts ~1 week, with gradual improvement over 4–6 weeks.

Most people notice improvements after 2-3 treatments. However, optimal results typically show up a few months following the final session.

Kybella permanently destroys fat cells in the treated area, meaning results are enduring. Once you achieve your desired outcome, no further treatment is expected as the fat cells don’t return.

Post-treatment, common side effects are swelling, possible bruising, or numbness under the chin and neck, but these are generally mild and temporary.

Before and after treatment, avoid anti-inflammatory drugs for at least 48 hours. Consult with your practitioner about any other medications. After treatment, apply cold packs to the treatment area and avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours.

During a Kybella session at House of Lore, the targeted area will be marked, and a series of small injections will be administered. The procedure is relatively quick, often completed within 20 to 30 minutes.
